(850m - 17 km from Beirut)
Since 1885 Aley, has been considered one of Lebanon's most
attractive summer village. At that time, the railroad built in 1887
and which linked Beirut with Damascus, made it easy for residents of Beirut
and tourists to vacation in Aley. Today, Aley is
regaining some of its past glory as efforts are underway to improve its
infrastructure. It can be accessed from the Beirut-Damascus
Highway. |
