(850m - 45 km from Beirut)
Located between Baakline and Deir El Qamar, Beiteddine
(the House of Faith) is a
palace built by Emir Bashir Al Chahabi II in the 19th century. The architectural
grandeur of this palace with its engraving, fountains, and porches defines
it as one of Lebanon's most prized national treasure. Today the palace houses a museum of feudal weapon,
costumes and jewelry, as well as an impressive display of Byzantine
mosaics. |
