During the 7th century AD, Bhersaf shared with Bikfaya, its neighboring village the residence of the Maronite feudal princes and religious orders.  It's name literally means "The Place of Cold" and has been inhabited by various civilizations over the centuries.  Today, Bhersaf is a quite town that displays traditional and modern homes surrounded by green areas.
