This is a place of water, which everywhere flows in fountains,
springs and falls. Sir el-Donnieh is also famous for its orchards
and flowers. It is well provided with restaurants and hotels, including an interesting traditional
hotel that features outdoor dining. From Sir, hikers can walk to the Cedars in about six hours by
way of Lebanon's highest peak, Qornet El-Sawda (3,088 m).
