Situated in Mnaitra, on a green Plateau surrounded by high
mountains, La Reserve is a well established 10 million sq.m.
camp site and eco resort. The resort conducts a huge range of
outdoor activities all across Lebanon, including rafting, caving,
hiking, mountain biking and horse riding. Four campers can sleep in canvas
tents for US$10 per person.
Mattresses and pillows are provided but you will need your own
sleeping bag. In the summer La Reserve organizes a two week summer
camp for children aged six to 15.
La Reserve runs two
summer camps for children aged 7 to 15. Children participate in a
wide variety of activities, including learning about the
environment, visiting local archaeological sites, playing games and watching
films. In 1999 some 95 children from Lebanon, other Arab countries
and Europe signed up.

Getting There: From Beirut - direction north - driving through
the Nahr el Kalb tunnel (18km from Beirut), turn right at the
Ajaltoun off ramp heading uphill towards Faraya. From the Achqout
round about head towards Mayrouba, passing Lassa, Afqa, until you
reach Mnaitra. (See
