National Heritage

The innumerable and rich archeological sites spread in every corner of Lebanon tell the story of the many invading civilizations that once inhabited this beautiful land. The visitor is never disappointed as each site reveals a particular phase in history, sometimes overlapping. One can observe the ruins of a Roman Temple built on the foundation of a Phoenician worship site. Other ruins from the Crusader and Mamlouk eras surface to reveal the grandeur of their architecture.
