(79km from Beirut / 35km from Chtaura)

This Roman temple remains, on both sides of the road, are sparse but impressive in their extent and favorable location. A few upright stones are still in place. The entire area is well worth exploring.







 

Getting There ... 
From Chtaura, proceed along the Damascus road to Masnaa (border post). Shortly before the post turn left, just beyond Manara. Pass the turnoff for Aita el-Foukhar, and continue on the upper road. Eight kilometers further on, turn right at the sign for Yanta. The ruins are about two kilometers along the road to Yanta village. (See Beqaa Map).
