Hammana - General View
(1150m, 33km from Beirut)

Hammana sits in a lovely valley that can be seen in panorama from the village of Sofar above. Once active in the silk industry, its huge 19th century silk factory has been converted into a school.

In the summer time, Hammana is a favorite destination for the Lebanese and Arab tourists due to its ideal and moderate climate. In addition to that, the village is peaceful and hosts restaurants and coffee shops. A hospital sits on the outskirts of the town.

Getting There ...
The quickest way to get to Hammana is by driving along the Beirut-Damascus highway eastbound passing through Aley, and Bhamdoun.  From Bhamdoun, the road that leads to Hammana is clearly marked.

You can also reach Hammana from Mdairej on the Damascus Road or from Ras el Metn. (See Mount Lebanon Map)
