Hadath el Jebbe
(1450 m, 99km from Beirut)

Hadath El Jebbe
is a very small and beautiful resort town in the northern part of Lebanon. It sits on a hill 1450 meters above the sea level. It overlooks the famous Cedars of Lebanon and the Valley of Kadisha (Valley of Saints). It has about 500 residents during the winter and about 8000 during the summer. Many of its inhabitants immigrated all over the world. There are ten of thousand of Lebanese abroad that are originally from Hadath El Jebbe. It has two churches. One of the two churches (Saint Daniel) is a historic one. Almost every house has someone named Daniel.

Getting There ...
Get on the Beirut-Tripoli highway northbound towards Chekka.  From Chekka head east passing through Amyoun, and Kousba.  Just before you reach Tourza you must turn right heading south driving past Aabdine and Qnat before you arrive at Hadath el Jebbe (See North Lebanon Map)
