This quite and
traditional village, which may have derived its name from
Roman times, is famous for being in the shape of a scorpion.
It is a well preserved red-roofed village about 22km north
east of Byblos (Jbeil). The main square has a Roman
sarcophagus and there are two churches. There is also a
small souk and small cafes around the main village square.
